Welcome dog lovers and friends!

I am Carolee Nance Kolve, author of Golden Reflections, A Dog's Tale.  I am a mother, a dog lover, and my son once told me I should be a story teller.  But the real teller of this tale is our beloved golden retriever, Lady.

If you can remember when a puppy first licked your face, you know the moment you were chosen.  From that time forward, your family was expanded by one.  Golden Reflections is the humorous and cheerful tale of our Lady's life, but it commemorates all family dogs the world over.

When Lady died, our family was devastated.  With the goal of celebrating her life, I tried to describe her, to eulogize her, but I found that I could only do her justice by imagining how she would tell her own life story.   In Golden Reflections, she describes the joy, the humor and the occasional angst of growing up with our family.  In reading her story aloud together, we laughed, we cried, we loved her all the more, and somehow we found comfort.

If you've ever known that a furry tail wagged just for you, I hope you will read this book.  It is for dog lovers of all ages, and I believe it will be a special comfort for families who have lost a dog.  It is the book I tried to find when my children were young and we lost our first cherished pet.
